A house for country life.
Three levels, different rhythms.

The house in Hrushiv unfolds across three levels: a wellness zone, shared living spaces and private rooms. Dark timber, stone textures, graphic furniture and warm linear lighting shape a restrained interior connected to its rural setting.

Wellness level

Sauna, recovery
and a private ritual.

The basement is organised around a wellness sequence: changing room, sauna, shower, bathroom, relaxation room and wine room.

Design response

A dark stone panel, timber cladding, warm perimeter light and natural textures create an intimate setting. The sauna receives its own composition of timber, heater and an outward view, while the relaxation room adds soft seating and a bar function.

Everyday benefit

The level works as an autonomous place for recovery, hosting and slow evenings without mixing those routines with the main household floor.

Shared floor

The kitchen-living room
as the centre of the house.

The ground floor combines the kitchen-living room, guest room, entrance, bathroom, stair and terrace.

Design response

The kitchen is integrated into the timber envelope of the shared room and works alongside the island and dining zone. Large windows, green textile accents, black metal details and warm timber connect the interior to the landscape. The guest room has its own seating, work and storage logic.

Everyday benefit

The shared room stays open for family and guests while the guest room retains the necessary autonomy.

Private floor

Quiet, timber
and its own rhythm.

The upper floor contains the primary bedroom, bedroom, bathroom, corridor and terrace.

Design response

In the bedroom, a timber ceiling and exposed beams underline the house’s structural character, while fitted wardrobes and local light keep the composition calm. The bathroom continues the language through timber, grey stone texture, dark sanitaryware and an illuminated mirror.

Everyday benefit

The private floor becomes a calm recovery zone where architectural materials also organise everyday use.

Materials and lighting across levels

One language
for three floors.

The house holds different routines, but its materials and lighting need to support one sense of country living.

Design response

Dark timber, stone textures, graphic furniture and warm local light continue through the wellness level, shared floor and private rooms. Lighting plans, furniture and elevations coordinate these decisions across the house.

Everyday benefit

The movement from sauna and wine room to kitchen-living room and bedrooms remains coherent, even though each level has its own rhythm.

Project scope

From concept to working drawings.

The project moves from surveys and planning to working furniture drawings and schedules. The wellness level, shared floor and private rooms have distinct routines but share one material language: timber, stone, dark surfaces and precise local light.
