A shared heart
and room to retreat.
The two-storey layout separates active family life from rest while giving each part its own character. The kitchen, dining area and living room form one connected ground-floor space; a study and service rooms support everyday routines. Bedrooms and private rooms occupy the upper floor.
Shared living
Kitchen, table
and lounge together.
The ground floor brings cooking, shared meals and fireside relaxation into one connected space.
Design response
A deep-blue island and tall timber cabinetry give the composition depth. The island adds worktop space and a place for quick conversations, while a separate dining setting carries the kitchen naturally into the living room.
Everyday benefit
The shared area stays open while supporting the different rhythms of the day, from cooking to evenings by the fire.
Living room
Fireside warmth
in a restrained palette.
The living room connects to the kitchen and dining area while retaining a clear focal point of its own.
Design response
A fireplace and textured wall finish anchor the seating area. Deep-blue furniture carries the kitchen palette through, while open circulation keeps the ground floor connected rather than divided into small rooms.
Everyday benefit
The room feels settled for relaxation and remains part of the home’s shared life.
Study
A dedicated place
to work at home.
A separate study sits on the ground floor, alongside the home’s service spaces.
Design response
A long worktop is integrated into a storage wall; dark panels and curtains create a focused backdrop. The fitted composition leaves the centre of the room clear.
Everyday benefit
Work has a room of its own without taking over the kitchen or a bedroom.
Private floor
An upper floor
for family rest.
Bedrooms, a bathroom and dressing space are grouped together, apart from the active ground floor.
Design response
The plan includes a main bedroom, two children’s rooms and a guest bedroom. Timber, soft textiles and integrated storage carry the home’s restrained palette into rooms with a lighter, gentler character.
Everyday benefit
Each bedroom has a clear purpose, with a guest room set apart within the family layout.
Storage
Storage integrated
into the architecture.
A separate dressing room complements wardrobes and niches in the bedrooms and corridor.
Design response
Full-height cabinets, open sections and lit shelves make use of the room’s height and give clothing and accessories dedicated places. Dark glazing gives the dressing room a distinct presence while keeping its contents discreet.
Everyday benefit
Belongings have a clear place, helping bedrooms and circulation areas stay visually calm.
Bathroom
A bright bathroom
with considered detail.
A dedicated bathroom serves the home’s private upper floor.
Design response
Large finish surfaces, a freestanding bath and a dark stone accent create a clear composition. The mirror and linear lighting work with the general light without crowding the room with decoration.
Everyday benefit
Everyday functions sit within an ordered interior that still feels spacious.
Lighting and electrical
Lighting planned
room by room.
The album includes lighting, switching and socket plans for both floors.
Design response
Recessed, pendant and integrated light support the rooms’ different functions, while electrical points follow the furniture and appliances. These lighting groups could later form scenes for shared and private spaces.
Everyday benefit
Lighting and switches are planned alongside daily routines, with scene-based control as a natural extension for the home.
Project scope
From concept to working drawings.
The two-storey layout balances shared life and privacy. Fitted furniture, the restrained contrast of deep blue and timber, and detailed lighting plans bring the home together as a coherent whole.
