Customers see the products.
Staff have room to work.
Display counters take up a substantial part of a small shop. Their shape sets the layout: an angled counter brings service into one place, wall shelves carry products upwards, and the entrance opens a view of the range. The logo, timber textures and white pendant lights give the interior its own identity.
Layout and service
Displays, cash desk and workspace
in one coordinated layout.
The 25 m² shop needs to present its range, give customers a clear approach to the counter and accommodate the staff workspace. The angled counter brings these requirements into one arrangement.
Design response
Transparent displays meet at the cash desk and separate the customer area from the staff workspace. The entrance gives a view of the products, bread shelves and ordering point. Cabinets and tall shelves follow the walls, with a sink behind the counter. Furniture sections are sized around the refrigerated equipment; electrical points at different heights and water connections are coordinated in the working plans.
For customers and staff
Customers can look over products before ordering. Staff have defined places for payment, storage and preparing goods. For the client, furniture and services form a coordinated workspace layout.
Displays, materials and lighting
Tall shelving
and a recognisable shop identity.
The product range extends up the walls, leaving the centre of the room for customers. Light finishes and Zhyvyi Khlib graphics bring the different product groups together.
Design response
White metal shelves and baskets carry the bread display above the counter. Open sections sit over cabinets on the adjacent wall, with a ladder for the upper levels. The logo and vertical lettering have their own surfaces. Timber fronts meet OSB texture and a slatted ceiling. White pendants identify the counter, ceiling fittings add general light, and the working plan sets out separate lighting groups and shelf illumination.
For customers and staff
Wall height provides display space without freestanding shelves in the centre. Materials add warmth, while lighting helps distinguish the product levels. The brand is visible within the interior, alongside the products.
Automation potential
Lighting for the working day.
Attention to the workspace.
Separate lighting groups and a sink in the staff area provide specific opportunities for future equipment and controls.
Design response
An opening scene could switch on sales lighting and display illumination, while cleaning mode would use full general lighting. Leak monitoring near the sink could notify the responsible person. Alarm and climate controls could follow the opening schedule after a services survey. These are recommended future additions: automatic scenes, equipment and integrations need a separate design and compatible devices.
For customers and staff
Staff could select lighting through one scene and learn about a water problem sooner. Refrigeration must retain a separate power supply and must not switch off with the lights.
Project scope
A sales floor
with a considered staff workspace.
The project brings together the shop layout, angled display counters, bespoke furniture and brand graphics. Materials and lighting support the product display, with electrical and water connections coordinated around the workspace. Customers can see the range, and staff have a clear place to serve them.
About this project
Where is the shop and how large is it?
Zhyvyi Khlib is in Lviv. Its area, calculated from the drawing dimensions and rounded to a whole number, is 25 m². The project year is 2020.
How does the small shop accommodate its product range?
Refrigerated displays meet at the cash desk, while open shelves and baskets use the wall height. Base cabinets add storage without filling the centre of the sales floor with freestanding shelves.
What gives the interior its character?
Light timber fronts, OSB texture and a slatted ceiling meet white metal shelves. The logo and vertical brand lettering remain visible above the product display.
What working design information is included?
Equipment layout, furniture and counter details, wall elevations, finishes, lighting locations, electrical points and water connections for the sink.
Could automation be added?
Separate lighting groups offer a basis for opening and cleaning scenes. Leak monitoring could be added near the sink. These are recommended future options; this case does not claim installed controllers, sensors or integrations.
