## An evening interior with a clear identity.

The design of Meduza centres on turquoise light against a dark backdrop. Curved frames and jellyfish graphics give the guest rooms a shared identity. Different seating groups offer a choice of places to spend an evening, while the bar and back-of-house layout support the venue’s service.

Space and form

## Turquoise portals connect the lounge.

Meduza in Lviv combines different seating areas within one interior.

### Design response

Curved metal frames extend from the walls towards the ceiling and mark the seating areas. Jellyfish graphics on glass panels keep views open between them. The exposed dark ceiling draws attention to the illuminated outlines, while a central aisle connects the lounge to the bar.

### For guests and the venue

Guests can read the layout and see the seating and bar. The portals give the venue a recognisable feature rooted in the architecture.

The bar sits at the end of the view through the lounge.

Group seating

## Sofa groups with open sightlines.

An evening with friends calls for a table of your own, but enclosed booths would make the room feel smaller.

### Design response

Sofas sit around low rectangular tables. Glass partitions in slender black frames separate the groups without closing off views. Turquoise cushions and planting soften the dark upholstery, and the glass graphics carry the venue’s identity.

### For guests and the venue

Each group has a defined seating area. Transparent partitions preserve the overall room and allow the decorative lighting to remain visible from neighbouring tables.

Low furniture keeps the illuminated portals visible across the room.

Light and materials

## A dark backdrop. Light close to the guest.

Lighting in a dark lounge needs to define places to sit and help guests find their way.

### Design response

Pendants above the tables complement linear wall lighting and turquoise accents on the frames. Black curtains divide sofa areas, while soft lounge chairs create a different seating arrangement by the screen. Against dark walls and ceilings, the light outlines the depth of the room.

### For guests and the venue

The lighting keeps an evening atmosphere while marking tables and circulation. Guests can choose between a sofa group and a seat near the screen.

Small lounge

## A smaller room with relaxed seating.

The smaller lounge continues the main room’s design at a more intimate scale.

### Design response

Soft lounge chairs sit alongside a sofa and small tables. Curtains and graphic glass panels repeat the materials of the main room. Lighting along the panels makes them visible against the dark backdrop and follows the circulation route.

### For guests and the venue

The smaller room offers another way to spend an evening without changing the venue’s character. Shared details connect both guest areas.

Washroom

## Turquoise accents in a dark washroom.

The washroom is part of the guest experience, so its design continues the venue’s palette.

### Design response

Two basins have cylindrical bases with turquoise illumination. Textured dark walls, a large mirror and a mesh ceiling with compact lights form the backdrop. Lighting by the floor and mirror repeats the lines found in the lounges.

### For guests and the venue

Guests encounter a consistent design in a small service space. The mirror extends the view, while illuminated basin bases connect the room to the rest of the interior.

Bar and metalwork

## Bar and portals in one design.

The distinctive portals and bar call for consistent geometry and coordinated details.

### Design response

The design develops the metal frameworks of the curved portals, bar counter and overhead shelves. It also defines light panels, curtain rails and dimensions for sofa modules and tables. The inside of the counter is planned as a working area, while its guest-facing side follows the lounge design.

### For guests and the venue

Dimensions and construction details carry the design into its individual parts. The bar belongs visually to the lounge and has a separate working layout for staff.

Kitchen and service

## Behind the lounge is a planned kitchen.

The design covers guest rooms and back-of-house spaces. Both are part of the full measured area of 117 m².

### Design response

The kitchen layout separates storage, hot and cold preparation, pizza preparation and the pass. The washing area follows a sequence from incoming dishes through washing to clean storage. Equipment positions are supported by extraction hoods and water and electrical connection plans.

### For guests and the venue

This arrangement gives staff defined places for different tasks. For the owner, it connects the interior layout with kitchen equipment and connection points at the design stage.

Lighting scenes

## Potential to change the atmosphere with one scene.

Pendants, edge lighting and decorative panels serve different purposes. They provide a starting point for scene control.

### Design response

A recommended extension is to group compatible lighting into scenes for opening preparation, evening service and cleaning. If staff regularly reposition the curtains, motorised tracks could also be considered. Control selection requires checking drivers, electrical circuits and the curtain hardware.

### For guests and the venue

With compatible equipment, staff could select the appropriate lighting without switching each group separately. This is a possible extension requiring separate equipment selection and commissioning.

Comfort and control

## Automation potential for venue operations.

Guest rooms, the kitchen and water connections have different comfort and monitoring needs.

### Design response

Further engineering could consider heating and climate schedules for opening hours and closure. Lounge ventilation needs coordination with kitchen extraction and actual occupancy. Leak monitoring near sinks and access control for the entrance and service areas are also worth assessing. Each scenario requires a compatible system and a separate engineering design.

### For guests and the venue

These additions could simplify room preparation and monitoring of service areas. Priorities should follow the venue’s operating routine so automation addresses the staff’s daily tasks.

Project scope

## A guest experience supported by working details.

The project brings together the interior design of both lounges and the washroom, seating layouts, finishes and lighting. Bespoke furniture and metalwork details support the visual design. Kitchen equipment, water connections and electrical layouts connect the guest-facing spaces to the service areas.

## About this project

What is included in the 117 m² area?

The full measured area includes the guest rooms and supporting spaces, including kitchen and washroom areas. It is not just the seating area.

What makes the lounge recognisable?

Turquoise curved portals and jellyfish graphics connect the two guest rooms. Glass partitions, curtains and varied seating create distinct places within the shared dark palette.

Does the project include automation?

The design includes lighting layouts and electrical groups. Scene control, curtain drives, heating schedules, leak monitoring and access control are recommended extensions, not confirmed installed systems.

Can this approach work for another venue?

PISKOR can develop the seating, bar and service layout around your premises and operating needs. Tell us the venue format and floor area to discuss the right scope.
